Drawn To The Flame

Join Frank for Think on your Feet XIV, in which Finn Edwards is back in the jungle, ready to get snakebit once again! (Just kidding, he's too slippery for snakes!)

In Think on your Feet episodes, a live play series of Arkham Horror: The Card Game, I endeavour not to edit much at all. Sometimes I cut a bit of shuffling sounds or abbreviate some of my longer pauses (a chap's got to think!), but otherwise, it's uncut, unaltered and meant to feel like you're with me at the table. There may be mistakes and misplays, but hopefully some successes too.

Some errors I spotted in the edit: I think I took 6 actions at about 18 minutes. Not that they did me much good, but still! I think that was it, except... maybe... well, no spoilers, listen to the last scenario! Would love to know what you think of it!

Join Peter and Frank as they announce not one but two cards to the community from For the Greater Good, the third mythos pack in The Circle Undone cycle. That's not all: they've settled in and made decks to pair with these cards. And that's not all, either: stay tuned for news about Drawn to the Flame at the UK Games Expo in Birmingham at the end of May 2019.

Join Peter and Frank as they settle down to talk about two card keywords: exile and exceptional. These cards are the domain of the survivor and (predominantly) the rogue factions, each affecting how the factions spend xp and how investigators might choose to upgrade their decks. Your hosts run through the cards and explore the impact they've had on the game.

Join Peter and Frank as they open up (at last) and talk about their failings, foibles and, ultimately, their weaknesses. Whether it's their fear of how the community perceives them or their forgetfulness of how the community perceives them or their desperate need for the community to perceive them, weaknesses are at the heart of Arkham Horror: The Card Game, and your hosts are keen to plumb their depths!

Join Frank for Think on your Feet XIII, in which Finn Edwards is back in Arkham, never to head to the jungle again!

Some errors I spotted in the edit: I think I failed to let Shadowed surge at 16 minutes, so I missed an encounter card. Doh! I also can't count, and missed an action (I believe) at around 30 minutes - so a little bit of shortchanging myself there. At 1 hour almost on the dot, I add a weakness to my threat area rather than shuffling it into my deck. Whoops! At 1hr10 I'm definitely losing it: I draw Caught Red-Handed and only move 1 enemy? What's got into me? Holy hell! at 1hr11 I forget to draw an encounter card too! I was clearly losing it at that point... !!

Frank and Peter are delighted to announce a forthcoming player card, this one from The Wages of Sin, the second mythos pack in The Circle Undone cycle. It really paints a pretty picture, and we're totally hyped for it.

Then stay tuned as we talk about Arkham in Flames 2019, the event we laid on for the community on March 9 and 10 this year. We talk about the feedback we've received so far, our favourite moments and our plans for the future. Peter has written up his thoughts right here on patreon, for anyone to read.

Join Frank for a first look of the player cards of The Secret Name, the first mythos path in The Circle Undone cycle. Are they something worth fighting for? Will Frank crack the case and manage to banish his troubled thoughts about multi-class cards?

Join Frank for Think on your Feet XII, in which Finn Edwards ventures into the jungle on the start of The Forgotten Age campaign!

Some errors I spotted in the edit: I think I shortchanged myself an action at 26 minutes. Finn snoozes, Finn loses! Not much I can do about that. But then at 56 minutes I used torches twice in a bit of a shonky way, so a bit of a leg up there. Whoops! And then at 1hr14 I skipped upkeep! Like a loon! Doh!
