Artificial Intelligence (AI) has revolutionised the world with the capability to effortlessly produce highly-tailorable text, images, audio, and video en masse. This has provided many with a significant boost to both their productivity and creativity, but unfortunately the same can be said for malicious threat actors. Tools such as ChatGPT have provided these anti-democratic organisations with the sudden capability to rapidly produce highly convincing deepfakes and manipulated content that sways public opinion and narratives towards the actor's ideology. This episode explores the impact these new and rapidly evolving technologies have on society; most notably our collective sense of 'truth'; and provides some handy tips for spotting AI generated fake news.
