March 5th,
“Your kindness is affectionate, beautiful. It's a place of dedication, the love you put into each soul that you have touched is revealing. I got to see you grow into a new version of yourself, seeing your evolution of kindness spread so deeply. I can still hear you speak, I can still feel you, I can still talk to you. You are not gone, you are still my mentor, my life, and my best friend. With the biggest magnet that touched a lot of lives, you sure kept an elegant smile with so much harsh crises we both went through, you made sure I was deeply wondering, seeking, fighting, and even elevating through this horrifying prison with no autonomy. I am happy the injustice is becoming a justice, your sweetness and spirit will never be forgotten. From your sweet brother and best friend Mez Williams.
Our mission is to make sure my sisters legacy stay alive with the action of kindness, perseverance, compassion, commitment, courage, family, love and commitment.
My sisters life was taken by a drunk driver on March 5th, 2022. She was driving on Eisenhower Avenue in Virginia. As she was driving, she caught a flat tire and had to pull over, she called her folks in Virginia for a spare tire and as she was waiting a sheriff saw her and blew a flare gun in the air so that can be aware that there is a car pulled over on the side. Within 30 minutes later, a black Buick charged Katherine’s car and it caught on fire and exploded and while my sister did not have any help she died instantly in the car. Devon Leonise, the Buick driver was arrested for vehicular manslaughter and only received 3 years of prison. He got 3 years and we got life without Katherine. That pain will eat him and my sisters spirit will haunt him everyday, he will see compassion. I understand he is human and make mistake but he got into a car and drove while drunk and killed someone. Think about that…..
