Alison Taffel Rabinowitz began her career developing promotional efforts, integrated marketing partnerships and branded content strategies for brands such as Inc., Rolling Stone, Us Weekly, Men's Journal, Travel + Leisure, Food and Wine and MTV. 

She mentors ambitious females throughout the country and loves helping both young and experienced women advance their careers and live their happiest life. 

Alison was on the Founding Team of Open Me, a greeting card startup in partnership with Threadless. Open Me was acquired by Rowl in April 2015. Today, Alison consults for startups and publishing companies, while running the Finishing Co where she teaches people how to be the Beyoncé of their careers.

On this podcast we talked about negotiations. Alison shared her advice on how to negotiate a raise, even a severance package, your phone bill, and anything else in your life. 

Kash Sree is a Creative Director in Advertising, on the copy side. He has worked on four continents and one sub continent. You've definitely seen a few of his commercials, too many to name here. Most notably the Tiger Woods hacky sack spot. You can easily google his work so I won't go into it here since it will take up the entire page. He also picked up a Cannes Grand Prix and an Emmy for his work on the Nike “Play” and “Move” campaigns. Kash is known for being able to tap into the human experience when it comes to telling brand stories. We talk about diversity, brands, truth, religion, and dreams. On the show we talk about what makes for great agencies., how to create more diversity in advertising, and Kash shares his advice on being fearlessly creative. This episode is really meta and filled with deep discussions.

Jasmine Trabelsi is the Founder of Brand + Culture. A consultancy for startups looking for help with their User Experience and Digital Marketing. Jasmine started her career as a designer in magazine publishing and fashion advertising before moving to San Francisco in early 2000's. In SF she became a part of the tech scene that was creating the social media platforms of Twitter and Flicker. Already a Facebook user, her expertise for guiding brands with their social media profiles lead to her becoming the voice of Frye Boots and Food.com - a division of the Food Network.   

Let’s go back. I know Jasmine from college when we first created an arts magazine called Artsymag.com. An art publication and platform promoting women artists and writers. 

This podcast talks about how while studying at UMass Amherst we created our first tech platform. Artsy went on to be a hit in the art world. It paved the way for women artists and platforms like Artsy.net.

Pauline Black is an author, actress, and lead singer of 2 Tone Ska revival band The Selecter from Coventry, England. The racially diverse band led by a female singer originally formed in 1979 and have been creating conscious music ever since. Pauline talks about the business of running a band, gender and race politics, and the music of the spheres. We talk about 2Tone culture, racial unity, how people can come together through music. We also talk about their new album Daylight.  The name refers to the sun rising and chasing away the dark, it also refers to the fact that sun will always rise. Even if we blow ourselves up in a nuclear apocalypse. The sun will rise.

Israel Horovitz is a playwright, director, screenwriter, and actor. He is the most produced American playwright in French Theatre history.

Israel has written over 70 plays which have been performed all over the world. In between writing plays, he teaches a masters class in screenwriting at Colombia University and a bilingual screenwriting workshop at La Femis, Frances national film school. Israel also teaches a playwriting master class at University of St. Andrews in Scotland. 

Israel is the Founding Artistic Director of Gloucester Stage Company and the New York Playwrights Lab. You might also know him as the father of Ad Rock from the Beastie Boys.

Steff is the Group Creative Director for Tribal Worldwide North America, and the driving force behind award-winning work for companies like Nestlé, Phillips, J & J. Steff is a Life Liaison, Purveyor of Fine Random Thought, and giver of useful advice you may never need. She's one of the funniest writers I know, as well as a published author of "I'll Miss you too" a book for parents and children going off to college. Her twitter is @Baneiac and she's one of my favorite people to follow.  We talk about studying abroad, how to write a book, how to balance work and kids, how to create strong campaigns, and how to improve your own writing.

Heather Fink is a Director with a comedy background which she honed performing standup, sketch, and improv. She went through the NYU Grad Film Program and in 2016 participated in the Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors Program. 

Heather currently pays the bills as a Sound Person, most recently working on Marvel’s Daredevil and Baz Luhrmann’s The Get Down. 

Heather just completed post-production on her first feature film as writer/director. It's called "Inside You" and you can check out the official trailer here.

Heather also recently directed the indie TV pilot Urban Teach Now for writer/producers SJ & Ginny, which was an official selection at the NYTV Fest and ITV Fest in October 2016.

On this episode we talk women, diversity, film making, comedy, feminism, crowdfunding, sound design. Fink also gives great advice when it comes to distributing and funding films.
