Guy Shavers is a former North Carolina high school basketball coach. He coached the South West Guilford Varsity Boys Basketball Team of High Point, North Carolina from 2005 - 2019. As a coach Guy has a 248 win to 138 loss record (65% winning percentage). In his first 5 years he immediately sustained the program to .500 but would soon see progress with each year beginning in 2010 winning +19 games. Guys accomplishments reads as follows: 6 Conference Championships in his last 9 seasons, 2 Western North Carolina Region Championships (1 in the 4A in 2017, 1 in the 3A in 2019), 2 North Carolina State Championships (1 in the 4A 2016-2017 season, 1 in the 3A 2019 season and going undefeated with a 32-0 record, North Carolina 4A Coach of the Year in 2017, North Carolina 3A Coach of the year 4X's, North Carolina District 7 coach of the year 7X's. - It's safe to say that Guy Shavers figured something out regarding winning/success and its an awesome conversation worth listening too.
