Bernard Chan is the Convenor of the Non-official Members of Executive Council of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Deputy to the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China.  He is President of Asia Financial Holdings and Chairman of Asia Insurance, one of the financially strongest insurers in Hong Kong.

Bernard sits on the Board of several for-profit and non-profit organizations, including Hong Kong Council of Social Service, Cathay Pacific, Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund, Pomona College.  He is engaged in long list of social initiatives in areas of welfare, quality of life and education.

Bernard is recipient of many awards and honorary degrees over the years, including Gold Bauhinia Star and Justice of the Peace by Hong Kong govt.

Grace is a domestic helper from Philippines, working in Hong Kong since 2014.  She is currently working with her second employer, an India/American family.

Grace became a domestic helper to support her ageing parents back in Philippines.  Her first job was in Saudi Arabia.

A constant learner by nature, Grace uses her free time to learn new skills.  This led her to develop her passion for cooking, learn agricultural farming, acquire certification for Elderly care, learn swimming and take courses in Financial Management.  Grace is a great cook, a fitness enthusiast and loves to hike.  Her dream is to open her own fine dining restaurant one day in her hometown of Samar in Philippines.

Karena is originally from Germany, with bachelor’s degree from Mannheim University and MBA from ESSEC Paris. She worked for 15 years with P&G across Europe, North East Asia and Greater China before moving to HK with her family.

It was in HK where Karena developed her true entrepreneurial passion.  𝐖𝐇𝐮𝐛, HK’s largest startup community, is a community builder, power connector and ecosystem accelerator helping startups get to the resources that they need all along their lifecycle.  𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐇𝐮𝐛, HK’s first SFC-licensed startup investment platform, brings startups and investors together; democratizing early-stage investment opportunity to a broader audience and not just the institutional investors.

Besides her profession, Karena is a very active mother of her three kids and serves as President of ‘Parent Faculty Organization’ at Hong Kong International School (HKIS). She is an adventure enthusiast and is often found on the HK trails.
