You know I’ve always been curious as to what people do on their phones the most. we are obsessed. on average I say Americans check their phones 262 Times a day 80% check their phones within the first 10 minutes of waking up I know I'm guilty of that. 47% use their phones on a date . seems like a lot more than that because whenever I see people together they're always on the phones at least one of them and what happened to enjoying each other's company? no one does that 48% of people consider themselves to be phone addicts . I think that number should be higher. . Intro @nikkos_ramone. Outro @lifeofloganpod. Editing @mzoundz

  • Being more Productive
So for those of you who are stuck at home I'm sure when you're not doing anything your mind wanders and being in quarantine is no exception start thinking of everything and then some so you want to try and be productive welcome To Drea’s point of view. I am your host Drea. if you're in your season listener I asked you subscribe to my show so you can get a double dose of Drea every week.
one thing you can do to be productive is make a to do list the night before I've always been a fan of Yes that way you wake up with a sense of direction no thing you can do is wake up and go to bed consistently. now I have a problem with going to be consistently I can pretty much wake up but I have an alarm at a decent time nice and early but going to bed at the same time it's a bit tough for me because I usually don't go before midnight unless I'm totally exhausted And being that I'm going to be at home for a while I clearly don't see me going to bed too early but doing this can keep you feeling rested and set a foundation. • What are you gifting this year?
Intro courtesy of @nikkos_ramone. Outro courtesy of @lifeofloganpod. at time of year again. what do you think of what to get that special someone and how much to spend here's a newsflash you can get good gifts without spending that good money welcome to address one of you I am your host is Drea if you are a new listener hit that subscribe button so you can get a biweekly dose of Drea and if you are a seasoned listener. I'd like for you to do the same.
So it's crazy to Me how many people wait until the last minute and break the bank for that perfect gift first thing you need to do is set a budget you get some great gifts for under $20 and I've got some good gift ideas that you can use. I made a gift episode last year in October you can get ideas from that as well but I thought I'd come up with some other things for those of you who want to give nice gifts at a nice price. The first gift you can give them some pod merchandise give them something from you it definitely will be effective giving to those that don't really listen to you do you get some good things out of there. I know one of my favorites is a deck of playing cards with my logo on it and it's so think it's like 10 maybe $12 the second gift Idea is a portable Bluetooth speaker and that's not much at all. I've actually seen that a couple places for cheap that gift of music you can't go wrong with that as a gift that keeps on giving. it helps though if you know their musical taste there's nothing like getting a good classic record for the holidays.

  • Episode 170: Cali laws
Intro courtesy of @nikkos_ramone. Outro courtesy of @lifeofloganpod there was a recall in California earlier this year with 50 people on the ballots for Gavin Newsom it was questionable whether or not he would win or not but he did and he signed he passed 770 bills into law I don't know how many our president signed , but I think that is a huge number so I just wanted to talk about a few of those that I found interesting
Welcome to Drea’s point of view. I am your hostess Drea if you are a new or seasoned listener, make sure that you hit that subscribe button for me sure that you get a biweekly dose of Drea you can follow me on Instagram and Facebook at Drea’s Point of View as well as on twitter you can find me at dreapoint.
I’ve always been a curious person that I am I wanted to see which laws were passed and talk about the ones that I really care about so here goes. The first one is ethnic studies is now a high school requirements this is a huge topic this year with many people being against it I think is important to know as much as possible since many ethnicities took part in our nations history. although I didn't learn much about ours when I was at school I can't imagine not even knowing what I did.
The second one was the menstrual equity bill that was passed to allow secondary schools and colleges to provide feminine products for free it's a very good idea considering how many low income students there are I know there is a community college near me that's providing home with students will sleep in their car a safe place to do so and take showers and they will get ticketed I think every little bit helps The third one is Free Press allowed at protests I'm really glad for this one because I remember earlier this year or the last year but I saw a reporter being arrested on CNN I didn't think that was possible but I'm glad that police won't be able to interfere with or obstruct their Jobs. let everyone do their job in peace I say.

  • To Queen or not to Kween
Before I begin this episode I wanted to mention something that I noticed recently and that's how many comments I get from a previous episode about marriage being for everyone but black women. as much as I appreciate the support and listens I find it interesting how I didn't get that same energy when I talked about men not settling down. It’s pretty telling how people are quick to Comment on other peoples situations.
Now that I got that out-of-the-way let's get to the topic at hand what do you think of when you hear the word queen ? how does it make you feel when a man calls you That? lets first define the word queen a female monarch a woman held in high regard a man's wife or girlfriend at attractive woman a powerful piece in the chess set a playing card that is below the king offends so many.

I was inspired to do this episode based on a post that I saw on Meta where a woman asked what we thought of being called me and I was actually surprised at how many people were turned off by at some Said the men don't even know us don't even know if they are a queen or not. Others say it’s said too much. it's not genuine and if they won't return it by saying king. I think so I even said that it's better than the other names that they could call us I don't have a problem. Intro courtesy of @nikkos_ramone. Outro courtesy of @lifeofloganpod.
