In this episode we go behind-the-scenes with the 'Jones Plantation' lighting team, where we were forced to fire the gaffer in the middle of production.

It is the production's job to acquire crew. For the most part, we knocked out of the park. However, like a lot of long productions, someone usually falls through the cracks. On, 'Jones Plantation', it was the first gaffer we brought on. The original gaffer cost the production time and money. He also cost himself money, and an opportunity to learn and grow in his craft.

We all make mistakes, and sometimes bite-off more than we can chew. That said, 'fake it until you make it' is bulls**t. No matter what your goals are, you must be honest with yourself about your knowledge and experience before you make any leap forward - so you don't fall of a cliff. If you're fake in this area, you'll never make it anywhere worth going.

That said, this is a pretty funny, entertaining short episode.

In this episode, we hear from our sound designer, Patrick Williams, and his experiences and challenges trying to record good sound for the film.

We had some fun in the title playing with the running joke about sound on film sets, however, a great sound mix separates the wheat from the chaff when it comes to high quality filmmaking.

Sound is one of the most important and unappreciated jobs on-set, but we were thankful and to have Patrick as our sound designer. Not only did he bring a plethora of top-notch recording equipment to the show, but he also was a pro at his job. Now that we are deep into post-production, the quality of the sound Patrick recorded on-set is saving us time and money.
