【Drawing near the Lord everyday】

3 Help me then in every tribulation


So to trust Thy promises, O Lord,


That I lose not faith’s sweet consolation

Offered me within Thy holy Word.

Help me, Lord, when toil and trouble meeting,

Ever to take, as from a father’s hand,

One by one, the days, the moments fleeting,

Till I reach the promised land.

4 Draw me, comfort and compel me,

Give me brave — to face all things,

Strengthen me, give me power in life,

To pass through all trials and mountains,

I’m peaceful with You in battlefront,

Fear no more, no turning back,

I can face the challenge in life with You.

And challenge all things in universe.

5 Day by day You long to meet me,

Long to see my face and hear my voice,

You’ll rest in Your love and rejoice over me,

Think of me, desire me day and night,

How I treasure Your manifold love,

Surround and be filled in my heart,

Draw me to love Your appearing,

Hope to see You in the cloud soon.

A Song of Ascents.

1 Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord!

2 O Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleas for mercy!

3 If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?

4 But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared.

5 I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope;

6 my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning.

7 O Israel, hope in the Lord! For with the Lord there is steadfast love, and with him is plentiful redemption.

8 And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
