【Thy love, O Lord】
Day and night do I think of Thy love, O Lord,
Its height and its depth - O how great!
Pouring down like a great waterfall, O Lord,
Thy love doth my being elate.
Thou didst come down from heav’n For love’s sake, O Lord,
For-sak-ing Thy glory and Thy throne.
Thou wast born Son of Man under law, O Lord,
Without any wealth called Thine own.
Like a savory feast is Thy love, O Lord,
My whole be-ing to satisfy.
How I thank Thee for taking my place, O Lord,
To endure the cross and to die.
Thou hast rescued me from sin and death, O Lord,
Thy blood washed my heart—white as snow.
Thou hast sent Thy Spirit to help me, O Lord,
That I might please Thee here below.
Chorus:
All my love is poured out at Thy feet, O Lord,
None can satisfy my heart so well,
Most delightful and precious art Thou, O Lord.
I love in Thy bosom to dwell.
【Matthew 23:1-3, 23, 27-28, 37-38】
1 Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples,
2 "The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses' seat,
3 so practice and observe whatever they tell you--but not what they do. For they preach, but do not practice.
23 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.
27 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead people's bones and all uncleanness.
28 So you also outwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
37 "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you would not!
38 See, your house is left to you desolate.
