【Mountains upon Mountains】

Behold! Leaping over mountains He came

To see my lovely face, to hear my heart’s sweet voice!

O Lord, how many mountains You’ve crossed,

Afflictions You’ve passed through;

How deeply You’ve desired me, O Lord!

For me, You came from heaven to earth,

Flesh and blood, You became for me,

To come the form of a slave,

Walked up to the cross, the cruel cross!

To be forever united with me,

To see my lovely face, to hear, ‘I love you.’

You came, leaping through mountains, You came.

How infinite You’er,

Today we and I live as one!

Ecstatic You came into my heart,

Led me to the chambers deep in Your heart!

You bring me to Your glorious throne!

To be with You; You share Your all with me!

Rejoice forevermore!
