Drink of the Week: Whiskey Sour
2 oz. whiskey, usually rye or bourbon
2 tsp simple syrup or ½ tsp. powdered sugar
Put sugar and all liquid ingredients into a shaker filled with ice and shake forty times. Strain into a sour glass and garnish with a slice or wedge of lemon and a cherry. Don’t be afraid to let a dash of cherry juice slip in too, if you want, and feel free to use a cocktail glass if you don’t have a sour.
