Ruth is a story of redemption- in fact, it's full of redemptions- for individuals, for families, whole countries, and even the world. And behind all the redemptions is a hidden redeemer- one whose sovereignty over all can give you freedom and joy in both the good times and the bad.

We can only find true rest - even in the trials of THIS life - when we begin to understand that the gospel is more than the moment you got saved and the moment in the end when God zaps you into the finished product. It's also every moment in between! We won't be at peace in the present until we begin to learn to live in the partnership of the gospel.
