It's the last day of radiation!! Hooray! We made it! And today's episode is just about fun. I ask some wild questions, try and keep this podcast on the rails with four people in the car, and make my last trip over the mountain for radiation. Katie was my nurse in oncology during chemo treatments, she graciously took time on her day off to drive me to radiation, and when I had surgery to remove my thyroid, thyroid cancer tumor, and lymph nodes, she floated onto the med/surgery floor of our hospital to be my nurse. Gentle in spirit and incredibly intelligent, Katie and I have a great conversation about parenting and also what she has learned as a nurse caring for cancer patients. Don't miss this episode!
