Drive Check Podcast

Possibly our worst audio ever! Will and Cole discuss recent One Piece TCG meta changes and top decks while Alan questions what he is doing on the podcast. Alan boasts about winning the X-Wing world championships. We enter the dungeon with Carl and Donut. Also, escrow talk!

NO BOOKS THIS WEEK - just chill guys talking games.

Cole talks about his adventures at Gen Con, Will talks about One Piece, and Alan talks about his toy soldier collection. Then everyone talks about American Gods. Trigger warning if Neil Gaiman gives you the ick.

One Piece regrets. Battletech regrets. Reading books - no regrets. We discuss weird gaming stuff and then go deep into Shirley Jackson's We Have Always Lived in the Castle. Is it a haunted house story? Is it a witchcraft story? Is it just about how people can be mean?

We're back at it again with the listener book selection The Last Fallen Star by Graci Kim. We also discuss the usual TCG and miniatures and life stuff.

New Premium Vanguard ban list! Much needed reprints (lots of the most used dual nation cards)! And then - book club discussion of why do cis hetero white men have to suck all the time and cause more problems than they solve aka Dark Matter by Blake Crouch.

Will, Cole, and Alan are back to trash talk TCGs and then get into our book club discussion for March - The Martian by Andy Weir. This is a long episode because we had a lot to say both about TCGs and the book - but none of it is actually worth listening to.
