Derry have exited the FAI Cup on penalties to St.Patrick's Athletic after it ended scoreless after extra time at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium. IT is a tough one for the manager and the team to take as they also exited the Europa Conference League on Thursday night to penalties.

Derry City leave the Europa Conference League after losing out on Penalties to Tobol Kostanay. Derry showed that they where the better team for most of the game and must feel frustrated on how they left the competition.  

Patrick McEleney is no stranger to playing in Europe, and Thursday nights game against Tobol will be a special night for the local man. 

Derry City manager, Ruaidhri Higgins is in no doubt that they want to create history and progress to the playoff round of the Europa Conference League. Tobol Kostanay carry over slim one nil advantage going into this fixture, so Derry City have it all to play for in Tallaght Stadium.
