After a change of date for this fixture due to technical problems at the RSC Waterford. Derry are  playing the game a day later at 6:15pm ( Live on Drive105) . The Derry manager will not be looking for excuses but 3 points on Tuesday night.

Derry City's under-19's will entertain Bohemians at the Brandywell on Wednesday night in the final of this year's Enda McGuill Cup (KO 7.45pm). It has been an excellent season so far for the young Candystripes who will be hoping for the backing of a big local support as they attempt to win the trophy for the first time in 14 years.

Manager Boyle insisted the players and staff were really looking forward to the occasion. "It's something for us to relish and it would be nice to lift a bit of silverware at the end of a great season. We have lost twice and drawn once so far this year, winning all our other matches, so it would be a fitting way to mark our success."
"We're hoping for a big crowd to get behind us- we saw recently in the game against St Pats at the Brandywell how the supporters can lift the team and it would be great to have that kind of backing."

Scottish midfielder Joe Thomson has put pen to paper and signed a 2 year extension to his contract with Derry City keeping him at the club until the end of the 2023 season. In what will be seen as a message of intent by both Manager and Player going forward.  The diminutive midfielder has scored some important goals this season and is enjoying his football with the Candystripes.
