Driveline | Sort of Car Show

Justin vents about Facebook group members saying too much and a failed Marketplace deal. A woman is nearly stranded at Coachella due to a major Tesla design flaw. A SoCal man is reunited with the stolen car he got from his late father 17 years later. Justin rewatches a nostalgic video from childhood to honor a radio DJ who recently passed away.

Tim Fabrizio (@timothy_fabrizio), AKA the Barn Find King, joins Justin on Driveline. They talk about his trip to California, finding and purchasing the 1995 Rolls-Royce Corniche that famously accompanied Tupac Shakur, his most and least favorite missions, vintage Mercedes-Benz ownership, NCP Pakistan cars, how difficult it is to buy a car owned by the Brunei Royal Family, and more!

Justin massively lost an auction on a single owner Chevy Caprice police car. Google says there's an episode of Seinfeld where Jerry tries to buy a Corvair. An ad for a Ghoulish musician got Justin hooked. Justin was irritated by Carvana's suggestions on what he should buy. "Leno's Law" is back on the table and a man is surprised by $1300 in DMV fees. No one wants to tip anymore. And developers are threatening everything Angelinos hold dear.

In this "Pilot Episode", Justin describes the mission of Driveline. He talks about his vermin infested Operazione Dyn-o-mite Fiat 850 and an idea to help restore it. Justin discovered a piece of the Mullin Collection at a salvage auction. What he would have bought from Magnus Walker's Urban Outlaw RM Sotheby's auction. And a look into the history of Ward Kimball's Grizzly Flats Railroad at his San Gabriel home, as well as the sale that could mean the end for the historic land.
