What is an alpha male? Is it a real thing or is it non-sense and what makes a male “Alpha” This garbage discussion is doing as much to damage men as the “toxic masculinity” bullshit that has been spewed.
I was watching a video recently by one of my favorite YouTubers Michelle McDaniel over on “My Thoughts will Probably Offend You” called “Learning what an Alpha Male is from the "Real Men" of the Internet” and she had some really great points.
I wanted to dig into this a little bit and touch on some of her questions because they deserve some answers, we all do.
There are so many people screaming about "Alpha" male status, but what are they selling and is it legit? Do Alpha males exist? Are there really Alphas, betas, sigmas and whatever other term they are trying to sell?
Is it something you can obtain by listening to someone rant and espouse tales of times gone by when "men were men"; what does that even mean?
My thoughts will probably offend you but We need answers. What are real men. What does it mean to be a real man?
Here is Michelle's video if you want to know what inspired this episode. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZTzl90OKag&t=54s

Fired, robbed, divorced, and with two businesses down the drain, Chris Patrick was stuck on a one-way street of screwups and failures.
The life he was leading wasn't what he wanted-but sometimes, not getting what you want is exactly what you need. Amazing Opportunities Lie on The Other Side of Adversity is the no nonsense way Chris approaches life.
I sat down with Entrepreneur and Author Chris Patrick to discuss his book "Disasters To Dreams: A Gritty Guide to Finding Success In The Face Of Failure" on The Fallible Man Podcast. The Book ask Are you ready to turn your personal sh*tstorm into the life of your dreams? Are you ready for personal growth?
Chris has made an incredible life for himself through hard work and perspective, even when all seemed lost. His book was written a lot like this conversation feels, like 2 guys drinking beers and discussing life.
HIs style of writing and conversation was something I could connect with and I think you will too! Are you ready to understand how to beat adversity? It's time to turn your disasters into dreams!

There is a lot of competition going on or wrapping up during this part of the year. The super bowl happened recently, the winter Olympics just finished. March madness is kicking off and the Arnold sports festival just happened. In this episode Dave "Common Man OCR" joins us to discuss the idea of needing to compete with yourself to grow. Men are often called too competitive which is funny because the world holds competition in such high regards. What are the pros and cons of competition with your self or others? Are men overly competitive? Are women as competitive? Why competing with yourself will make you better? All of these questions and more as we dive into this discussion!

The way of men are not mysterious although frequently misunderstood. According to the Harry's masculinity report from 2017 we want the same thing you would expect a most people to want. We want to work where we feel appreciated and like we have a purpose for being there. We want to be able to care for our families and enjoy life. This doesn't always happen and where we work is frequently connected to our identities as men. What happens when the work place becomes toxic?
Sexual harassment rears it's ugly head against everyone including us. No one wants to work in a hostile work environment or feel harassed but it happens to men everyday. The bigger problem is no one wants to talk about it!
My guest today is Tim Mousseau who is an HR Consultant, a Speaker and a leader in changing the conversation on sexual harassment. Tim works with companies to change the way sexual harassment is handled for the better. Tim is also a survivor of sexual assault in the work place and experienced first hand the stigmas that come with it; including being told not to report it..
Tim and I sat down and had a really gritty, raw and honest conversation about sexual harassment, men and sex, stigmas, the changing conversation about harassment and the change in generational views on what is normal and ok and what is not.

I sat down with Entrepreneur, Creator, Guitarist, Husband and Father Ofir Dearie to talk about chasing your dreams and still prizing your family at the same time.
I hear it all the time from men: "If I had more time then I would" Fill in the blank
Ofir used to live down the street from me and I have watched him run and expand a business he already was running when I met him and now build a whole new business and brand that he intends to take global.
He is a devoted husband and father that prizes his family life and a guitarist in a band.
Is he superman? If you listen to most people he must be or he couldn't do this all. Maybe he just doesn't make excuses. Maybe everyone else is weak. Or maybe he figured out what he wanted and just went after it.
In this episode we see what it takes for a man to chase his dreams and make the best darn hot sauce in the world while maintaining what he finds important in his life.

Dad University: Lead from the Front is my open letter to my fellow fathers.
There are a lot of books, shows and other material on How to be a Dad, How to be a good dad; fatherhood explained and so many more. So what could I add to the conversation? That is a fair question.
Here is the what I want to contribute, the simple truth that every father will eventually learn and I have learned from not only being a dad but 20 plus years of working with kids.
Kids see the way you live your life and emulate it, irregardless of what you have to say. Hear me clearly. What you say to your child has very little to do with how your child will live. Dads life, the example you set in the way you live is what defines their future. If your words match that and they are in alignment with your life then that helps compound what you are teaching them.
When they don't, how you act will always win-out over what you say.
Men, here are things you need to model to your child and it doesn't matter if you just found out you are going to be a father or you are a grandfather. Dads life is key. Fatherhood isn't easy; but you can do it! Men, lead from the front.

One of the biggest issues I hear men talk about is work life balance. On this episode I sit down with Entrepreneur Adam A Adams and have a very candid discussion about parenting while building businesses. Adam has had several businesses over the years and found himself a father for the first time. He talks about the difficulty you face when you know that you could accomplish your goals more effectively without having to divide your time.
He talks about how ultimately balance may not be the best solution for parenting or for Entrepreneurship. We talk about the philosophies he has adapted to make life work in his world and maybe some that might help you.
Topics: #EntrepreneurshipandParenting #worklifebalance #fatherhood #personalgrowth #investing

"Men! Fight for Me!" is the title of a book inspired by one of the survivors who shares their story in its pages.
Human trafficking awareness is big in January which is national human trafficking awareness month. Child sex trafficking awareness is the dirty little topic that no one can stomach.
Alan Smyth & Jessica Midkiff share the uncomfortable truth that Child Sex Trafficking is alive and booming in the US.
Both work with the charity organization Saving Innocence to fight for CSEC or (Commercially Sexually Exploited Children) It is a necessary fight that we must win at all cost.
In part 2 of this podcast I go deep with author Jessica Midkiff on the reality of child sex trafficking. Jessica's story is filled with the stuff of nightmares; surviving being trafficked from the age of 11 to 21 before getting out of "the life" as it is referred to. The abuse started at 3, but you will have to read the book for that.
Jessica brings us unique insights. I left in some of the light conversation between the darkness because people need to see the human. She is a survivor, a warrior and most importantly a person. We can't trivialize the survivors, that makes it more comfortable. They are people, with families, faces, names, hopes, dreams and life long scars.
This is happening right here, everyday, everywhere with an estimated 300,000 children being trafficked in the US alone every day. It is not somewhere else and it is not someone else's problem.
It has to end and you are the answer!
