At Advocate Health, he played a central role in unifying support services following the merger, delivering $ 14 M+ in labor and service savings while improving quality of care and patient transport experiences across 26 hospitals.
Before his current role, Jose held leadership positions at Aramark, Xanitos, Crothall, and Sodexo, overseeing complex healthcare environments, managing multi-million-dollar budgets, and guiding operational transformations across dozens of acute care hospitals and medical campuses nationwide. He is skilled in vendor negotiations, infection prevention strategies, cost containment, and executive-level collaboration, consistently delivering measurable impact through inclusive leadership.
Beyond his executive roles, Jose is a certified executive coach and a former board director at Arts Business Collaborative. He actively mentors emerging leaders and champions pathways for Latinx professionals in healthcare and operations leadership. He is a recipient of the Chicago United “Business Leader of Color” award and a proud member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Jose holds both an MBA and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from American Intercontinental University.
