In the book of Philippians, Paul admonished Christians to rejoice in the Lord always. He is saying we should always rejoice whether we are sad, happy, angry, confused, disappointed, going through difficult situations, or tired. Rejoice always! There should not be a moment that goes by that we are not rejoicing and giving thanks to the Lord for His love, His grace, His mercy, and His provisions. Research has shown that rejoicing is good for our health. When we rejoice by singing praises to God, dancing, shouting, leaping, or laughing to thank Him, we break the yoke of sadness or depression.
