People regularly offer me 20%, 30%, or even 50% equity in their business in exchange for free or discounted access to Drop Ship Lifestyle or one of my higher-level coaching programs. I always say no. In this episode of the Drop Ship Lifestyle Podcast, I explain why taking equity might actually be a great financial opportunity for me—but why I still believe it's a bad deal for both sides. I also share my own experience building an eight-figure eCommerce business with a 50/50 partner, how our relationship changed as the business grew, and what that experience taught me about partnerships, money, and resentment. You'll hear why I believe giving away equity can become the most expensive way you'll ever pay for coaching, why I'm cautious about business partnerships in general, and why my goal has always been for Drop Ship Lifestyle members to build businesses they own 100%. I don't want a piece of your business. I want to help you build a business worth owning. Free Training From Drop Ship Lifestyle: https://www.dropshiplifestyle.com/webinar

Are “free, done-for-you” Shopify stores actually a scam? In this episode, I break down how these offers work, why they’re suddenly appearing everywhere, and what you may really be signing up for.Although you may receive a store, that doesn’t mean you’re receiving a viable business. Many of these offers use affiliate commissions, recurring software subscriptions, generic storefronts, and the same “trending” dropshipping products supplied to thousands of other aspiring sellers.I explain:• How free Shopify store offers make money • The recurring expenses you may be committing to • Why everyone receives the same trending products • Why a generic store is unlikely to give you a competitive advantage • What to do instead if you’re serious about building an ecommerce business To be clear, this episode is not criticizing Shopify itself. I’ve been a Shopify partner for years and believe it’s an excellent platform when used properly. This is my opinion and analysis of third-party companies advertising free, done-for-you stores.Building a real ecommerce business takes research, work, and a strategy that gives customers a reason to buy from you. What would you do if a customer wanted to place a $50,000—or even $70,000—order through your high-ticket dropshipping store?Large bulk orders can be extremely profitable, but they can also require you to put tens of thousands of dollars at risk. In this video, I share a strategy I used early in my high-ticket dropshipping career to profit from massive B2B orders without processing the payment or funding the cost of goods myself. The process is simple: work with your supplier, refer the qualified customer directly to them, and negotiate a commission on the sale. We’ve seen referral commissions ranging from 10% to 40%, depending on the supplier and the order. You may earn less than if you processed the entire order yourself, but you can avoid the financial and logistical risks while building your business bankroll. Before moving forward with any large order, always verify that it’s legitimate.
