Sleep comes down over the exhausted participants. One last twirl before ‘lights out’. They’d been dancing all night like their lives depended on it.
Beds stacked up round the edge. A real marathon session. Who knows when the chance would come again?
Tomorrow, back to the daily grind, but the last 24hrs have made their dull live have real meaning.
Until next week!

Staring into the abyss, two black pools reflected my image back to me. I turned to run, screamed, but found myself rooted to the spot.
I looked up, a strange glow from above grew brighter. It was hard to tell how many colours were in the predominantly white light.
I felt light then realised I was floating upwards, the ground receding from view.
Panic, but calm, knowing I was powerless. So Adamski was right, there are flying saucers and the voice inside my head boomed, ‘you are now in my spaceship’.

This guest week’s mix comes from Paul Hillery (Folk Funk & Trippy Troubadours)..
I came across him from the facebook page Folk funk & trippy troubadours page and found a whole community of people who are inspired by the lesser know wonders of a more whimsical nature.
Paul seems to be particularly active and his output is prolific and he has a number of mixes available here http://www.mixcloud.com/paulhillery/
Paul has done a mix especially for Drop The Biscuit, all from vinyl.
We hope you enjoy this as much as we did.

….. …….An she asks between scoops of ice cream ‘was ‘Bondage’ the best Punk Jazz Funk tune doin the rounds in 77? An were the best Jazz Funk tunes from cats like Lonnie Liston, Herbie Hancock, or the Pop Group?? Yeah, well he said ‘it’s often pointed out to us how well Reggae an Punk sat together in the mid to late 70’s- but in the early 70’s,a lot a the trendy young kids around our way, who later got into the Punk scene, (as well as being into Bowie an Roxy) were into the Disco an Jazz Funk scene too- an goin to places like the Goldmine, on Canvey Island, an later the Lacey Lady, an the Room at the Top- an there was a cross-over period, around 77 when you could hear Punk an Funk played back to back………………..an’
well that was the same in Bristol she replied. Probably all over the country?
