Most people live far beneath their potential. We go through life carrying the same pot to the same well, drawing the same amount of water, from the same place, hoping to find fulfillment. How many of us spend our lives as the old song used to say, 'Looking for love in all the wrong places, hoping to find what I'm dreaming of'. True and complete satisfaction can never be found in objects or other human beings. Everything and everyone can be here today and gone tomorrow. This is a fact of life. When the Samaritan woman met Jesus by the well, He gave her water that filled her soul. She dropped her water pot and ran to tell everyone what had happened to her. Once you have met the source of all love, you will be able to drop whatever you were desperate to keep. You will have relationships and have things, but they will never become your source.
