It seems that some our most influential artists are born in small, quiet towns, and Robley’s story is no different.  Raised on  a cattle ranch nestled in the foothills of Littleton Colorado.  Bart felt his calling very early. Perhaps it was the peaceful mountain air, or the fact that his mother had Elvis blaring  from the time he got out of bed in the morning, somehow he was able to concentrate on the music that he heard in rhythm. Naturally, when it came time for him to choose an instrument in elementary school, he chose the drums, and never looked back.
Robley was very lucky to find a fantastic teacher, Robb Heskett at a local music store, Crescendo Music.  Robb mentored  and taught him to forego the flash and concentrate on the rudiments first. And that is what he did. Bart dug deeply and worked on his craft, through both elementary and high school. When he felt strong enough to branch out, he had the strong basis on which to build the flair that has become his own thundering style. Recognizing his obvious talent, local musicians tapped Robley for studio and cover projects in the Denver area. He backing some of the more talented bands and joining them in club gigs and tours. This was the beginning of a long history of studio work and myriad bands which would keep Bart busy up to the present day.

For over 30 years Robley has built a solid teaching business passing on information to the next generation of drumming professionals. Maintaining  a full roster of students at his private studio in Fullerton, California as well as teaching students online via Skype and Zoom worldwide. He has authored three instructional books and three DVD’s for Centerstream / Hal Leonard Publishing.  In 2009 his efforts earned himself and producer Trey Solberg a Bronze Telly Award.
Along side world renown drumming educators, Chip Ritter, Jeremy Steinkoler and Rick Stojak, Bart has started a new endeavor called The Drummers Education Network.  “The D.E.N.”  was founded to help up and coming drum teachers hone their crafts as educators.. Between the 4 drummers they have over 200 years of drumming experience.

Vicky is known for her musicality and immaculate timing, with the ability to reproduce authentic grooves of popular music genres like funk, hiphop, pop, rock, reggae and ska.  One of her specialities is electronic drum programming and she loves to collaborate with other artists and musicians.
She started her musical journey as a 4-year-old playing classical piano in her small hometown in Finland. As a young teenager she got her first drum kit and soon after discovered punk and formed a local all-female punk band.
Vicky studied at Drum Tech in London (now called BIMM) from 2010-2013 to receive a BMus (Hons) in Popular Music Performance as a session drummer. After her first year of studies she received the school's prestigious ‘Top Overall Drummer Award’ which encouraged her to push the boundaries as a drummer.
In 2014 she was offered her first high-profile performance opportunity to play with Hans Zimmer for sold out nights at the Hammersmith Apollo. Vicky’s sight reading skills came in handy with Zimmer’s complex arrangements that were all memorised for the concerts.
 As an experienced percussion player she has performed alongside DJ’s all over the world in  venues such as Atlantis Royal Beach (Dubai), Nikki Beach (Ibiza/Thailand) and at events like FIFA awards and Elle Style Awards.

Martina is a drummer and musician who in her considerably short career has gained notable achievements. Deep and thoughtful yet energetic and playful, her style reflects her love of modern music and her fascination with the power of the drums. Throughout the years, she has maintained continuous growth of success preaching individuality, quality, and persistency.
Winning an award for the best drummer at “T’k Tak” drum competition when she was only 17 was followed by many successful music projects. She is quite active in the music scene of North Macedonia having played with Duper, Vladimir Chetkar, Luboyna, Skopje Brass Quintet, Sashko Kostov, Pijan Slavej, Dina Jashari, Funk Shui, Dragi Ivanov, and other notable artists. In 2019 she toured Europe (France, Belgium, Slovenia, Italy, North Macedonia) as part of an audiovisual project.
In 2021 she released her first solo album “Weird Fishes” and following its success she played her first Drum Festival at Alteisa Drumfest, which happened in Spain, Zamora. She also played at Skopje DrumFest and Prvo Pa Zensko as a Solo Artist. She proudly endorses Yamaha Drums, Istanbul Mehmet Cymbals, Promark Drumsticks, and Evans Drumheads.

With roots in the U.K. club and hip-hop scenes, Richard Spaven brings a fresh approach to the instrument that’s at once modern and traditional.
Combining machine-like accuracy with jazz-influenced improvisational sensibilities, Richard Spaven’s drumming has landed him gigs with vastly varied artists such the late Guru of the hip-hop duo Gang Starr, producer Flying Lotus, electronica/jazz group the Cinematic Orchestra, jazz/hip-hop vocalist José James and Brainfeeder artist Jameszoo. Spaven’s brilliance is evident beyond his world-class performance abilities; he’s equally impressive in production and compositional territories. And most recently, the drummer released his fourth solo album, Real Time, which once again showcases his multifaceted talent.
Spaven’s signature drum sound often sees him combine high-pitched, crisp snares; round, jazzy toms; and small, punchy bass drums. His cymbal choices are a sonic contrast of dry, lower-pitched hi-hats, rides, and crashes. Altogether, the drummer’s tone could be described as a nod to the past while keeping an ear toward the future.
Much like his compositions, Spaven’s drumming is elusive and genre-defying. He often avoids conventional downbeats and cadences in favor of sneaky syncopations and the types of sonic glitches you might hear from a deejay. No 16th note is left unturned within some of his drum ’n’ bass–and dubstep–influenced explorations on tracks like “The Hidden Camera,” a Photek cover found on Spaven’s album The Self. Regardless of the artist he’s working with, Richard’s ideas and touch provide the ingredients to his trademark sound.

Adam Bond is an accomplished drummer and entrepreneur, owner of The School of Drumming and many other projects.
After graduating from the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM) he realised life was going to be a little bit harder than expected.
After graduation he only found work i hospitality but after being fired he realised this was an opportunity to go back to what he prepared himself for and loved.
Taking advantage of the business lessons he had at college and his hard work and started to wrk smarter to build a solid career in music.
Now he owns The School of Drumming, a thriving school in Woking, Surrey where 5 teachers teach regularly and tens of students enjoy the art of drumming.

Alex Cohen is from New York City (US) and Ramon Montagner is from São Paulo (BR). They met through social media and due to their high technique level and innovation were featured on the cover of Drumhead Magazine. They met in person for the first time at the NAMM Show in Anaheim in 2019 and haven't been together since but this hasn't stopped them to write a book together. The book isn't quite ready yet but during this podcast they talk about it. It'll be a great one!
