After a long and treacherous Monday, I wanted to take some time to reflect on what it means to persevere. If not for yourself, do it for someone else because I am telling you that if we are not continually all propping each other up when we need it then we are going to fall eventually.

Big Shout out to DrumGab Podcast for having me on for this past weekend. Seamus Evely is the host and he is doing some great things in the podcast realm regarding the types of episodes he has put together, his ability to be communal and continually give back to the community. This all screams PERSEVERANCE and I want you all to persevere today and if that means putting in the 10X in school to please the parents than do it. If it means taking an extra hour to play with your children today then do it. If it means taking the wife out on the well-deserved date night then do it.

Welcome to Episode 57 of the Drummers I Like Podcast

What's going on today?

Today we are dropping everything Drummers I Like Podcast and taking some time to honor the late and great John Blackwell Jr. It's no secret that John has been a giant inspiration to the entire community and it felt only right to pay tribute to John by blessing your ears with what he did best. On today's episode, we black a live performance of the song "Jeremiah's Sleepy Night" written by John himself. This song has been a giant inspiration to me and I imagine I am not the only drummer responsible for its multi-millions of plays. I do not own any of the rights to this!
