I sat with Nick and John from Foto and we talked about how their music journey started. We alked about early influences, current influences and our favorite drummers. We also talked about our recording in the desert in March and our upcoming live show at the Knitting Factory. This will be the first of more chats with the boys. I'd built this persona in my head and I got to the point where I wasn't happy with who I'd become. I knew there was a way out from the funk i was in and all it took was some inspiration on a walk . I got in to some trouble early on in my adult life and through luck and an eye for curiosity I was shown the benefits of meditation. It took years before I yearned for that same feeling again and I picked up a how to approach to this ancient practice and I gave it a go.

This week I talk about new practice habits I'm forming. Im playing live again and talk about upcoming shows as well as the Live shows I'm going to watch here in may hometown of Los Angeles. The drum community is mourning the Loss of a legend and I made a tribute to him. 

I have many excuses why I don't do my show consistently. For this recording all I wanted to do was to plug in and check in. I talk about what I'm up, I started playing music in a music group and why I want to create a podcast. 

Sur Chevvie is a good friend of mine and my first guest on the podcast. We talk about taking leaps of faith, growing up on the east coast, his eclectic affinity for music and love for good drum beats. I recorded some covers this past week and wanted to talk about it. I learned of a drummer who I appreciate and I'll give you a hint of who it is; He plays with Sheryl Crow! This episode is short and sweet and really I just wanted to set up the mic and press record to say anything. Im still nervous about recording so this is a win for me. With all the crazy shit going on in the world, I selfishly talk about my day this morning and I open up about being scared to be myself when it matters the most.
