    • #6: Internet drumming vs. Live drumming (Part 1)

In this episode Nate and Austin catch up after not talking to each other for a couple of weeks and chat about the different aspects of Internet drumming and Live drumming.

Below are a couple of points we touch on and a couple of points we don't get a chance to talk about. In the end we hope this helps you understand both options and see that no matter which one you pick you are going to have to put a lot of work into it.

      Pros

      • Internet drumming: work at home, different ways to make money, personalized fan base, you set your own schedule
      • Live Drumming: traveling around the world, Energy of a live crowd, playing music with people

      • Both: you get to play drums, vast opportunities for endorsements/sponsorships, hard work matters

        • Cons

        • Internet drumming: everything revolves around you, it gets lonely, energy comes from you
        • Live drumming: you HAVE to have gigs to make money, time to do other things can be limited, you don’t have a choice in what music you play

        • #5: Staying Creative in any Environment.

In this episode Nate and Austin catch up and chat about how to stay creative in any environment.

We dive into why it's important to create and how you can stay creative throughout the business of life.

One of the main points we talk about it not giving excuses because you don't have the "right gear" or your scared of what people are going to think. You literally have NOTHING to loose and the only person holding you back is yourself.

Just do it and see what happens.

        • #2: The Process of Creating Content.

In this episode Nate and Austin dive head first into their thoughts on the ever growing process of content creation.

            Process of creating content

          1. Create content around what you love and what you want to create.
          2. Take time to brainstorm and craft your content. This is the experimenting part of the process.
          3.  Set up and shoot content (Bring those ideas to life and shoot multiple pieces of content for multiple days if possible.)
          4. The editing process with the video and audio part of your content depending on what you’re using to create that content.
          5. Remember to just have fun with all of this and make it your own!!

            6. Here are a couple of videos we mentioned in this Episode:

            Austin's first paint videos: 1)Tiktok   2)Tiktok   3)Instagram

            Nate's quarantine drum video: 1)Tiktok   2)Tiktok   3)Instagram

          6. #1: Networking & Posting Content

In this episode Nate and Austin introduce the podcast and dive head first into their thoughts on networking and creating content.

            Networking tips

            1. Live in an area that gives you the opportunity to volunteer( get yourself out there) or work with different people in the field you want to work in.
            2. Create social content that gets you in front of people and in turn helps you work with people all over the world.
            3. Use social media to message people you want to learn from or work with.
            4. Get to know people for who they are not what they can "give you."

              5. Creating content

              1. Just create content!
              2. Quality can always be a goal to achieve but you have to start creating first.
              3. Be willing to look at examples of people that are doing it to use it as motivation.

                4. I hope all of this helps, if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask either of us.

Appreciate all of you guys and we will talk with you next week.
