This week the staff at Café Mana in Cavan town couldn’t believe it when their boss Eilish told them not to come into work because she had organised a day out to Rossnowlagh for them!
When they first heard about it, they must have thought she was codding them! Then they probably hoped it was true, but once they were on the road to Rossnowlagh, they were fairly sure it was true. And when they felt the sand between their toes and smelt the sea and heard the waves breaking, they knew it was true!
There’s a huge difference between hoping something and knowing something. Hopes can be dashed and disappointed. But when you know something, it is certain, it is better than a hope.
What about eternal life, is that something that you hope for, or something that you know that you have?
