A Russian submarine traveling home from the Mediterranean has spent much of its journey surfaced.

A NATO official said the activity is unusual. It’s not ideal for a submarine to travel this way.

The alliance chief said the vessel appears to be “broken” and “limping home” from a patrol.

The Trump administration has dismissed 4,108 employees since Oct. 1, the day the U.S. government shutdown began, according to a statement filed Tuesday in court by the U.S. Department of Justice.

The Justice Department last week in a separate court filing estimated the figure was at least 4,278.

The cuts amount to a fraction of the U.S. government’s workforce. U.S. agencies employed some 2 million civilians at the start of the Trump administration.

In a rare presidential endorsement in a foreign election, President Donald Trump has thrown his political cachet into the reelection campaign of Argentine President Javier Milei on Tuesday night.

Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ) was blocked from walking with her graduating class at the US Naval Academy (USNA) after being caught up in a cheating scandal.

According to records obtained by The New Jersey Globe, Sherrill’s name “was not included on the commencement program” during the May 25, 1994, ceremony.

Despite the USNA’s honor code, the congresswoman said she was barred because she would not “rat out” classmates involved in the scandal.

Now, Sherrill claims she DID come forward to speak with investigators.

The Trump administration has dismissed 4,108 employees since Oct. 1, the day the U.S. government shutdown began, according to a statement filed Tuesday in court by the U.S. Department of Justice.

The Justice Department last week in a separate court filing estimated the figure was at least 4,278.

The cuts amount to a fraction of the U.S. government’s workforce. U.S. agencies employed some 2 million civilians at the start of the Trump administration.

President Trump’s administration for now must stop firing workers during the government shutdown, a federal judge ordered on Wednesday.

U.S. District Judge Susan Illston in San Francisco said the cuts appeared to be politically motivated and were being carried out without much thought.

“It’s very much ready, fire, aim on most of these programs, and it has a human cost,” she said. “It’s a human cost that cannot be tolerated.”

She granted a temporary restraining order blocking the job cuts, saying she believed the evidence would ultimately show the cuts were illegal and in excess of authority.
