DS9 Episode 19: In the Hands of the Prophets

Ready for a cliff hanger to hook you into waiting a long summer for DS9 season 2? Well you will be sadly disappointed because the boys discuss yet another episode of how to deal with backward thinking luddites who've some how made it to space. Spoilers have been heard though that at some point this shit gets good so stay tuned!

DS9 Episode 18: Duet

A case of mistaken identity hits the station and everyone is confused. A visiting Cardassian becomes a double - no wait - triple agent by pretending to be a person who is already dead... which is a pretty important part to consider when assuming a false identity no? Jo clumsily improvises costume and gender theory and Thomas recounts the sweet sounds of a spaceside sing-along on the USS Voyager.

DS9 Episode 7: Dax

Some call it a waste of time. Others call it a tremendous waste of time but here we are going back to a DS9 episode for a second time! Because the last recording got screwed up, we knew it was time to make up lost work for extra credit, but luckily this episode was particularly forgettable! Enjoy!

DS9 Episode 16:  Forsaken

Remember when the DS9 space station was responsible for holding a strategic toe hold for the federation monitoring all activity near a newly discovered and potentially very valuable worm hole?  No?  Well apparently, nobody else remembers either!  The lads discuss how the sausage is made behind the scenes in the podcast game, and you can take a page out of our lesson book and experience for yourself how one software update can screw up half of your audio!  Enjoy!

DS9 Episode 15: If Wishes Were Horses

The boys are in for another whirlwind adventure of being jerked around by aliens who pop in for an hour then warp the fuck outta there.  Tommy waxes nostalgic about the good old baseball's waning presence in the hearts and minds of today, and Jo goes apeshit about video games.  Call in and or leave a review to tell us when or if we're ever going to turn the corner!

DS9 Episode 14: Progress

Kira, Kira, Kira...what are we going to do with you?  Imagine any show or movie that you've seen where a young person needs something from a hermetic old person.  Now stick it into a Star Trek series, but no nothing actually happens in space.  90% of what you're already imagining happens, but hey there's a surprise twist at the end, so do tune in!  The lads misquote Batman, overanalyze bad banter, and improvise subtext all for the sake of thrusting deeper into this pod's thesis: Who actually could enjoy this show?

DS9 Episode 13 - The Storyteller

O'Brien and Bashir have their hands full with a superstitious sect haunted by a destructive demon cloud while Nog and Jake put on their thinking caps to scooch closer to a new girl on campus.  Sound like Star Trek?  In this (podcast) episode Jo and Tom get down to business and talk about the real mystery currently puzzling humanity: When was the last time you stopped and thought about Mel Gibson's "The Patriot"?  Call in and let us know!

DS9 Episode 13* - Battle Lines

How to put this episode into words?  Well In 2013, Keith DeCandido gave the episode a rating of 6 out of 10 for Tor.com, writing that it was "not a great episode by any means, but a pretty decent, if standard, science fiction story."  The away team gets tangled in a civil war where nobody can die - eventually the squad is found and they leave leaving you wishing you had changed the channel.  Sound boring?  Well thankfully Major Kira cranks it to 11 and saves the (podcast) episode!

DS9 Episode 11:  Vortex

The boys are back to review another ripper where Quark is making mischief again by jostling an intergalactic powder keg between two anatomically incorrect alien infractors.  Sisko is inept but what  else is new?  Odo creeps out and gets creeped out, and Kira asks you to please - just stop.  Plus It's a cliff hanger that begs consideration of just letting it all go!
