950 episodes deep.
The Data Transmission Podcast reaches a huge milestone this week. What started back in 2008 with Busy P from Ed Banger has grown into one of the longest running dance music podcasts around, welcoming hundreds of DJs from across the global scene over nearly two decades.
From legends like Carl Cox, Sasha, Kerri Chandler and Groove Armada through to underground selectors and rising artists, the series has always been about one thing, great DJs delivering great mixes.
For episode 950 we welcome a true original.
Steve Bug has spent more than three decades shaping house and techno, both behind the decks and through his influential Poker Flat Recordings label. Known for deep grooves and timeless club records, Bug remains one of the most respected figures in electronic music.
He joins us fresh from a new Poker Flat release alongside Ammo Avenue and Mikey V, titled ‘Why Not Us’, a smooth late-night house cut backed with the deeper rolling groove of ‘Don’t Stop The Music.’
Episode 950 feels like the right moment to hand the controls to someone who has spent a lifetime perfecting the groove.
Turn it up.
