DTID: The Official FC Dallas Podcast

FC Dallas center back Sebastien Ibeagha joins the DTID podcast to talk about his soccer journey which began in Warri, Nigeria before relocating to the United States. Ibeagha also explains his decision to begin his pro career in Europe after attending Duke University, eventually moving back to MLS where he'd go on to win the MLS Cup just before signing for FC Dallas.

In this episode, Dallas native Omar Gonzalez joins DTID to talk about his storied playing career that began with local youth club Dallas Texans before going pro with the LA Galaxy where he won MLS Rookie of the Year, three MLS Cups, two MLS Supporters' Shields and Defender of the Year. He also spoke about his time in Liga MX, his 10-year career with the U.S. Men's National Team, his experience at the 2014 World Cup and much more. 

Sebastian Lletget joined us to talk about his career which began at West Ham in England before joining MLS with the LA Galaxy, New England Revolution and now FC Dallas. He also spoke about his international career with the United States which included winning the Gold Cup and Concacaf Nations League. Off the field, Sebastian detailed his stringent diet, favorite goals, toughest opponents and more.

In this episode, we sat down with FC Dallas forward Bernard Kamungo to talk about his incredible journey from a refugee facility in Tanzania to the FC Dallas first team. Kamungo immigrated to Abilene, Texas as a teenager where played high school before being noticed at an open tryout for FC Dallas' reserve team in 2021. Two and a half years later, Bernard Kamungo (still just 21) scoring goals in the big leagues and is one of Major League Soccer's rising stars.

The DTID Podcast is back and we were joined by a very special guest: FC Dallas center back Nkosi Tafari.

Tafari spoke in depth about his early soccer career in Manhattan, how he scored the best goal in the state of New York during high school, his elaborate collegiate career, his MLS SuperDraft mishap and how his rookie season was interrupted by COVID-19. He also walked us through his off-the-field interests including fashion, his food truck project and the origin of his signature post-win celebration emoji :)

Peter Luccin joined the show to speak about his playing career which included stops at Marseille, PSG, Atlético Madrid and MLS before making the transition to coaching with FC Dallas.

FC Dallas' starting goalkeeper Maarten Paes joined the show to talk about his upbringing in the Netherlands, why he decided to switch to goalkeeper when he was 15, his early pro career in the Eredivisie and his first impressions of Texas life.

In this episode, we sat down with FC Dallas' Technical Director (General Manager) Andre Zanotta and explored his extensive education, his previous jobs in soccer, his role in the transfer of Brazilian star Neymar to Barcelona in 2013, and eventually why he chose to come to MLS and FC Dallas.
