We finished up our mini series, "How to Eat an Elephant" this weekend. We believe this was a powerful and timely message for our church. Service as a discipline is the intentional use of our time, abilities or resources for the good of others.

This week we wrapped up our series on the Names of God. We really dug into Psalm 23 and leard about the name "Jehovah Raah". Our takeaway is that Jehovah Raah is the Christian's guide, protector and physician in the wilds of life. We hope you have found this series helpful and applicable to life's situations. Seeing how our God is present and active in every situation we face.

We are continuing our series on "The Names of God" and we experienced incredible worship and teaching this weekend. We learned the name, "El Elyon" or "The Most High God". El Elyon has the right to rule and overrule.

This weekend we had two incredible services at DBC. We celebrated a baptism and really dug into what the name "El Shaddai" means. The main idea for Sunday was, “God’s sufficiency is not limited to what we can see.” We hope that you enjoy this message and that you find hope in the fact that God is our sustainer.

This weekend we kicked off a brand new series called "The Names of God". We took a deep dive into Exodus 18:8-16, and learned about YAHWEH-NISSI [yah-way-nee-see]: "The Lord Our Banner". The word "banner" is understood to be a rallying place. We believe this was a very encouraging message and reminder for us to rally around the name of Jesus as we live out of lives together.

Jesus is the gate and he allows entry and he always allows passage, and the thief won't stand toe to toe with Jesus so he jumps the fence. The thief always jumps the fence and drags the sheep away. The thief comes and drops lies to get our attention and affection off of Jesus and onto the lie.

This week we finished up our series called, "It's Personal". We strongly believe in this message that if you want to make a difference – then it has to be personal. Pastor Chad Zueck taught on the story of Zaccheaus and how Jesus responded to him. Jesus identified Zacchaeus in way that communicated value. Jesus instinctively addressed what mattered to Zacchaeus.

Jesus took the time to enter into Zacchaeus’ everyday context. Jesus responded to Zacchaeus in a way that removed his shame. Jesus believed in Zacchaeus’ potential to do good.

"Jesus never got so busy trying to save everyone, that he didn’t stop to help someone."
