This week the the Dudes talk about comedies about actors like Tootsie and Bowfinger (both great!) Jeff rewatches Terminator 2 and realizes that the first one is so much better! So we can talk about James Cameron's filmography. We have another movie term as Zander teaches us about the "Dolly Zoom". Jordan Peele is awesome! As is James Wan. And we dissect this week's homework, the Sly Stallone farce: Oscar directed by John Landis--what worked? what didn't? One thing that works for sure: our mouths!

Join the boys for a far-ranging chat as Jeff is on a comedy kick removing Clue from his Shamelist and watching his fave rom-com The Goodbye Girl leading to reminiscing about their love of Neil Simon plays they have done. How does farce work?  Some of the character actors who work constantly. Zander explains "Chekhov's Gun". RIP Robert Carradine. Jeff's "comfort movie" is Deathproof? Dudes in the wild had a busy week with a rewatch of The Grey. The Housemaid is a melodrama. Peter Sellers is so funny in Blake Edwards slapstick classic The Party. Jeff raves (again) about Dolemite Is My Name! with Eddie Murphy at his best. We try to pass the Bechtel Test. Zander tells Jeff how independent movies get funded. We are on an Alfonso Cuaron kick with a deep dive for his astonishing and emotional sci-fi film, Children Of Men. You name it, we cover it this week!

Just the Dudes this week as we discuss rewatches of The In-Laws (Serpentine!) and Taxi Driver (sleazy) The brilliance of Elaine May and Barry Sonnenfeld. The heartbreak of The Sweet Hereafter and Affliction.  Zander loves Doug Limon. And John Landis gives us 2 of his best for this week's homework: Kentucky Fried Movie (which for some reason leads us to talk about nudity in film) and his monster masterpiece, An American Werewolf in London. Another 2-hander this week as we talk about competing podcasts that we love and Jeff is reminded of a great 1995 tv show called Murder One. We discuss No Other Choice and other Asian action movies. Castaway vs Forrest Gump. Sam Raimi tells jokes. Straight to video sequels can be good but we all know Asylum films suck. Velocipastor and we enjoyed The Rip and others by Joe Carnahan. We were challenged by this week's homework, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Whatever you do, don't erase your memory until after you listen this week!
