To be honest, Counter Play Games didn’t really have much of a chance of releasing a patch that would be well received.  Aside from nerfing Meltdown again, there wasn’t really much they could have done two weeks after a patch that would have rallied the support of the community.  Sometimes you patch for design space.  Sometimes you patch to nerf.  Other times you patch simply because you have to anger your user base.  To be fair, this is the internet.  If we all weren’t doing our best to determine the threshold of misery of those around use we simply wouldn’t be participating properly.

I, for one, hope we can all take this to heart, and remember not to anger the Counter Play gods.  Some of us have sinned and forsaken them.  It is for this reason we have incited their wrath and they have wrought a plague of desolation on one of the two primary game modes.  They have taken our benchmark rewards and used our gauntlet tickets as kindling to warm their cold frozen hearts.  Let this be a reminder to all of us.  If anyone would like to offer themselves as tribute it would be greatly appreciated.  Until then, I will be smearing lamb’s blood on my door frame as a precaution for all future patches.
