We demanded the Phillies go grab a couple MLB relievers and they went right out and got themselves a couple of MLB relievers. Is this the time of the year there's magic in the Philadelphia air? Bryce Harper asks for 9/10 ✅ Flyers force a game 7 in 2OT ✅ Ty Lue coaching the Sixers? ❌
And of course we had to mention Robert Covington's game 7 performance, the greatest dumpster dive of all.
Well its been a long hiatus but sports are back and we are as worked up as ever. The first episode with official co-host Hayden (Henry) Winkler starts off with a discussion regarding the recent protests in sports and how the Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis have earned our respect while the NBA continues to fall short. After that we dive into the dumpster that is the 76ers organization and let years of frustration and pain pour out of us until it reaches Joshua Harris sitting atop his metropolitan ivory tower. Then we finish the episode off with some Joe Girardi talk, is he REALLY any better than Gabe Kapler?
A Liberty Ballers Columnist turned Rights to Ricky Sanchez writer and an OG member of the Mike Scott Hive and now Temple University's own @SixersAdam comes on the pod and shines a light on life from the press box and how NBA commissioner Dave Silver got his credentials taken away. What starts out as a school project about Mike Scott Hive turns into closet fandoms being outed, dog masks torn to shreds, sweating profusely due to Hinkie arguments, and of course a few minutes to praise the greatest Sixer of our generation, Robert Covington. This 5 star high school prospect did NOT go to the G-League!
New Jersey resident Hayden Winkler comes on the pod. For the first time in the podcast’s history we talk hockey. We get down into bracketology and pick some first round upsets a month early. A brief airing of grievances toward the 76ers front office and Wells Fargo Center, plus some Phillies Spring Training talk. Also, what the hell’s a cootie catcher?
Dodgers expert Mickey Price comes on the pod to speak out on years of disappointment at the hands of cheaters and is obsessed with suspending the entire Astros team. Did the Astros cheat during the World Series? The answer may be buried in the 2017 Astros World Series documentary... We discuss all that and a little load management as well on this edition of Dumpster Divers!
