God can also send a famine of His word. Without hearing the word of God, we struggle spiritually. Neglecting time in God's word can lead to a spiritual famine in our lives. Conversely, creating a "famine" in our lives by giving away our resources to those in need stores treasures in Heaven for us. This act of selflessness aligns us with God's will and secures His blessings.
