The party takes some time to rest and check on Ruyn. Finding that she is still greatly hurt, they make her rest as Ivan, Flaffle, and Kazad test something with the strange fog around them.

The party finds their way out of the tomb. However, when they arrive, they find some of the others have left or are missing. For the time being, they choose to move on, hoping to run into them again.

The fight continues as the party struggles against the strange spirit of a drow woman. Meanwhile, Flaffle is showing signs of insanity as he keeps trying to get through a door that won't open.

During their escape, the party encounters a seemingly friendly mind flayer. This unexpected ally shares valuable information about the peculiar mist enveloping them, which he refers to as the faerzress. Soon after parting ways with their enigmatic new acquaintance, the party finds themselves facing unforeseen challenges
