Fresh off of graduating college, the boys sit down before puck drop of Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals and offer their takes on the 2024 playoffs, as well as predictions for the eventual champion and Conn Smythe winner.

It’s been a minute since our last episode but the Dust Buckets are here to stay this season. In this episode we give our division previews and playoffs predictions while touching on all the big news from the offseason. This is a new beginning for the boys as we look to stay more consistent with episode releases starting now.

After a long hiatus the boys. Are back. We recorded this eppy the day before the Tkachuk-Huberdeau-Weegar trade, so we have another eppy breaking that down in the works, but in the meantime enjoy this reflection on the postseason, start of free agency, and a little bit of the draft. For our guest we have Cam Lowe, a former classmate and teammate of Bags, Addison, and Shearsy that just finished tearing up the NCDC en route to an academic (and athletic) career at Wilkes U.

In the wake of free agency and the expansion draft, we have a conversation with our first-ever guest – Seattle Kraken director of pro scouting Dave Baseggio – about Seattle's strategy going into this crazy offseason. The landscape of the league is changing by the day, so tune in to hear how the Kraken front office approached their inaugural season!

The boys break down the drafts – both entry and expansion – and talk recent trades and the leadup to free agency, as well as some scandals around the league. This is also the debut episode of the newest Dust Bucket, Addison Azar. Give him a warm welcome.

We hate that our listeners had to endure the long delay between episodes 2 and 3, but since we're academic weapons focused on academia we'd like to apologize to absolutely fucking nobody. We're back and obviously better than ever as we break down the tumultuous first round of the 2021 NHL playoffs as well as give our series predictions for the rest of the way. We recorded this eppy six days before we finished editing it and dropped it so some of our predictions already look like shit. And there's at least a 90% chance our predictions for the final four are gonna look like shit too. But there are some other ones that look pretty damn good. That's playoff hockey for you.
