“Trend To Zero”

Track 11 from the unreleased “Music Nerd” (Evolving Portals) - created 4-25-23

Backstory:

The evolution of the evolution 11x over of me taking flipping one of CXY’s favorite songs in real time, way way way to far.

I know this type of long form super unconventional music is impossible to market, but it’s my happy place getting lost riding the waves of the great unknown in real time. After I recorded all these sessions (tracks 1-10) I wanted to quickly release them in real time. Then the reality of how Spotify would punish this type of music took over my emotions & I jumped back into ableton one more time to express how not music nerd coded these stupid streaming platforms are.

The voice in my head as I was falling through this portal was, Spotify was beginning of the end. TREND TO ZERO.

just one long live blind real time recording of me getting fumbling around and getting distracted, I didn’t intend to even touch that zip until after the 13th, I just happened to be in ableton cus I uploaded the wrong version of

https://on.soundcloud.com/oMcWL005MQJcnJAnWE

To SoundCloud, which ironically is just another blind, one take live recording of me fumbling around while rnd1 & thxk_u were here last year..

Spoiler, I never exported the proper version, I ended up loading in that zip, just after getting lifted trying to calm myself down after spiraling into doom from viewing twitter and the burning world, blacked out and now this exists hahah. There’s no saved clips tho, So I can’t refine or recreate.. just this live recorded resample file. So I figured I’d at least send it to you in real time haha
