San eapasod seo, bhruidhinn Àdhamh agus an t-Ollamh Ben Ó Ceallaigh – anarcaiche, agus neach-labhairt is neach-rannsachaidh na Gàidhlig, Gàidhlig na h-Èireann, Gàidhlig Mhanainn, Cuimris agus Curdais – mu dheidhinn nan ceanglaichean eadar anarcachas, ana-chalpachas, mion-chànanan, aithne nan Gàidheal. Bha coltas caran air chall air Àdhamh nuair a chuir Ben ceist thuige air a’ chuspair mu dheireadh sin (tha esan cleachte ri na ceistean a dh’fhaighneachd, an àite de fhreagairt!), ach, às dèidh smaointinn air, tha am beachd aige a-nis gur e tuath fa leth a th'anns na Gàidheil, agus nach eil duine na Ghàidheal ann an dà-riribh gun a bhith e ball de theaghlach no coimhearnsachd Gàidhealachd. ‘S dòcha gum bruidhinn iad, an dithis, mu dheidhinn sin a bharrachd ann an eapasod eile!
In this episode, Adam and Dr Ben Ó Ceallaigh – an anarchist, and a speaker and scholar of Gaelic, Irish, Manx, Welsh and Kurdish – spoke about the connections between anarchism, anti-capitalism, minority languages, and Gaelic identity. Adam seemed a bit lost when Ben asked him about that last topic (he’s used to asking the questions instead of answering them!) but, after thinking about it, he’s now of the opinion that the Gaels are a distinct people, and that someone isn’t truly a Gael unless they belong to a Gaelic family or community. Perhaps the two of them will speak more about that in another episode!
