Rohingya poet and genocide survivor, Mayyu Ali, recites a poem from "Exodus" and talks about his new biography published in French called "The Erasure."
The blade on the skin of my throat
I scream out and it echoes from hill to hill
Some say, victims can lie
See the wounds and scars on our bodies
Parents keep yet clothes of killed sons
Orphans keep the skulls of their parents
I watched the blood streaming down
Where my husband and son were consumed
My baby was thrown into the bonfire
Disappeared in the thin air.
