KIA blames Stu Allen for his musical journey in DJing. He wanted so badly to DJ as well as him when he was just 16, back in 1990. He got his start in the deepest darkest Lancashire, England, acid party central. Since his beginnings, KIA has DJed across Europe with radio appearances on many of the programs you (an Electro listener) have grown to appreciate. Him and I share a sometimes unpopular opinion amongst DJs which is to 'Love music, not the DJ!'

This week's guest DJ on @DarkScienceElectro we take a listen to a non-stop Electro set by Croatian DJ @Avatar_J

Josip Katic aka ΛVΛTΛR J is a DJ/Producer currently residing in Rotterdam. As with many of us in the Electro community, at a young age, he was fascinated with breakdance and Hip Hop culture. During his adolescent years he shifted his interest to House and Techno. Now 15 years after the start of his initial love for Hip Hop, he is back to his roots playing Breakbeat and Electro. He spends time as an organizer of local events and producing new Electro material for future live performances.

Stockholm-based Acid Sussi started collecting records at the age of 10 and having continued doing so for three decades, her vinyl collection is just getting bigger and bigger.

Having played at well-respected clubs, festivals and warehouse parties throughout the years Acid Sussi is a well-known music selector to local clubgoers. She has been playing alongside Jon Dasilva at the Acid Friday parties, holding residencies in her hometown, hosting the radio show Zällh Acid at Klara Radio as well as promoting her monthly club LIVE with live acts from the electronic dance music scene.

Despite her DJ name she loves to bring different genres and styles together when playing creating energetic sets with lots of BASS!

This week on @DarkScienceElectro we check in with Spanish DJ duo UHF (@uhf-1)

Founded by techno DJ/producer José Castillo aka Milford and David Aragón. These are two of the most highly respected DJs in the electronic scene of Madrid. Together they create Electro beats and IDM, which mixes old-school tunes, and European influences from the nineties with a strong taste of Detroit. Their first single was released in 2014 and included in a great compilation of their own label Gladio Operations, along with renowned artists such as Boris Divider, ERP, and Luke Eargoggle, among others.
