'Dwarfs' is a collective term for small human beings, i.e. for beings that are much smaller than
normal human beings. Dwarfs have nothing to do with the human beings who are smaller than
normal people, who are also known as 'midgets'. In fairy tales, dwarfs are depicted in popular
belief as mythical creatures, who usually live underground in caves or in the mountains. As such
