Before embarking on a coaching career, Dr. Richardson experienced a hugely successful playing career where she helped UCLA win a National Championship and later won two gold medals for Team USA in the 1996 Atlanta and 200 Sydney Olympic Games - hitting the game-winning home run in the 1996 event.

The rising junior is a Communications major and she came to Penn State after starring for Bangor High School. She helped her team to a Sweet 16 appearance in her junior season and the Final Four in her senior campaign where she was named first-team, All-State.
