In this 2 fold message Bertie shows Gods commitment to us and our commitment towards God. He brings out that the essence of Gods commitment to us can be seen in the fact that God incarnated eternally into human flesh and it is in Jesus Christ that we find Gods commitment to us solidified for eternity. Saving to the uttermost all those that come unto God by Him. Often when people hear about their commitment to God condemnation comes into their hearts because they are measuring their lack. Bertie shows us that our commitment to God is rooted in the gospel - the good news- of what God has done for us in Christ and our continuing in this gospel is all that is required of us.

Jesus drank the cup of Gods wrath so we could now eat at his table. Not using our faith to work or qualify before God but seeing that the taking of our cross signifies the death of the lawman.
