Description:

This course defines signs of dyslexia, the SLPs role when it comes to dyslexia identification and intervention, and discusses ways to work on speech and language goals with kids with dyslexia. Earn 1 clock hour of continuing education credit (Introductory Level, Professional Area).

As a result of this presentation the participant will be able to:  

1. List 5 overarching signs of dyslexia
2. List 3 comorbid diagnoses with dyslexia
3. Define the SLPs role when it comes to dyslexia identification and intervention
4. Describe 5 strategies to use when working on speech therapy goals with kids with dyslexia
