This value-filled and heartfelt conversation embarks on Stephen Yearout's chapter, Dyslexia. During our conversation, Stephen eloquently articulated his journey of Dyslexia, the internal struggles, the continual fight, and deep insights into his childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. A couple of quotes that resonated deeply with me were: 'Once you learn to read, you'll be free forever' and 'The road to poverty, prison, or the graveyard could be changed if a child can learn to read'.

Stephen is the creator of an incredible platform, Empower Dyslexia, where he interviews and has conversations with a range of individuals (experts, family members, community members, etc.) to highlight research, interventions, special education policy, and so on.
