Finally after 25 years, God delivers on the promise that he made to Abraham. Sarah gives birth to Isaac. We see a few principles about single parents as well as how to deal with grown children.

We see what happens when Abraham fears man rather than trust in God. He repeats his actions from Genesis Chapter 12.

It would appear that God did not rescue Lot because of his own righteousness but because of the righteousness of Abraham. God often demonstrates mercy to others because of the righteous influence and intercessory prayers of another

Have you ever laughed at God about something He said? or Have you ever negotiated with God about something He said? Today we will see what happens when Sarah laughs and Abraham negotiates.

God's timing is never our timing but is always the right time. Abraham finally learns God's timing for the fulfillment of the covenant.

God promised Abraham and Sarah a child, but when it doesn't happen on their time, they decide to rely on their timing not God's. They decide to do it themselves. But when that happens, we make bad decisions that have consequences.

Today we see a conversation that happens between God and Abraham as well as the covenant that God makes with him.

Genesis Chapter 14 gives us a great example of how to treat others. Abraham and Lot go their separate ways and when Lot gets into trouble instead of leaving him alone, Abraham errs on the side of grace and helps him out.

Today we see what lessons Abraham learns when he comes home from Egypt after trying to do it his own way. It awesome to see that Genesis 13 opens and closes the same way....Worship!
